We TEACH the WORD OF GOD to the entire congregation.
We have an ordained and/or licensed team of qualified ministers who have and hold their credentials as they continue to attend Bible Study Classes, etc. to enhance their growth in the Lord and in the Word of God.
We are a TEACHING Ministry focusing on hearing, preaching, and teaching THE WORD OF GOD as our foundation, framework, building block, final authority, and solution for every issue that comes before humankind. Within THE WORD OF GOD is the last say-so for all matters.

Pastor: Dr. Sharon H. Breeden
Dr. Sharon H. Breeden, the pastor of Mt. Moriah The Word Church, is a native of Quitman, GA, in Brooks County, where she was reared, educated, and nurtured. She is the wife of Elder Alton Breeden, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, the published author of SUNDAY MORNING TEACH - A CLARION CALL FOR DIVINE ALIGNMENT, the holder of her own trademark, and a certified retired educator who served in the public school sector for 43 years in multiple capacities. Dr. Breeden is also a Board Certified/Licensed Christian Counselor under the NACC (National Association of Christian Counselors).
Deacon John Peak
Deacon John Franklin Peak, Sr. has faithfully served in the ministry capacity of being a deacon of God’s church for over 40 years. He was ordained a deacon at Pineview Freewill Baptist Church. After he joined Mt. Moriah, and since 1999, he has served as the Chairman of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Deacon Board, which has now transitioned to the Mt. Moriah: The Word Church’s Deacons Ministry. He is called by many names; he is a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, etc. He loves God!
Minister Joyce S. Peak
For as long as I can remember, the church has been a steadfast source of faith, guidance, and purpose in my life. I am Minister Joyce Spencer Peak, and my journey of service has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to God and His people. My faith journey began at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, where I was raised and which continues to be my home church. After my marriage, I joined my husband at Pineview Freewill Baptist Church and remained there until God led me to Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in 1998.
Evangelist Christine D. Thompson
Evangelist Christine D. Thompson is a dedicated servant of God with a deep passion and love for learning, living, and teaching the Word of God to “BUILD AND EQUIP THE SAINTS” of God with the Word of God for such a time as this. She publicly stood and proclaimed the acceptance of her calling into the ministry in June of 2010 after wisely laying out before God to confirm her calling before moving into the weight of ministry. She has stood in the preaching places for 16 years.
Evangelist Dr. Marcia King
Dr. Marcia D. King is a native of Brooklyn, New York, where she attended and graduated from high school. She was introduced to Christ at an early age and began to grow in ministry and her love for the Lord. She currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. King loves the Lord and glorifies Him in all her conversations.
Elder Alton Breeden
Born again and became a new creature in Christ in August 2004. God filled Elder Breeden with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost during this time. Our Father in Heaven impressed on the heart of the Elder through the book of Jeremiah to preach His word. He was called to preach on October 22, 2004. Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Prophetess Carla Carter Jordan
Carla Carter-Jordan is an ordained Elder and is the founder of Called, Victorious, and Chosen Ministries and Carla Carter Jordan Ministries, Inc. These ministries are designed to encourage, empower and uplift the lost. CCJM is designed to give key principals for everyday living and biblical insights on balancing your life. She is the Visionary for the Prophets Summit, a two day event teaching prophetic insights to ministry leaders.
